Door flap sticks to the swan feeder in freezing temperatures

Hello. I've had a pair of swans for 14 years on my 2 acre pond in Pennsylvania. In the winter I run two 1hp pumps to keep the water open. I have a plastic swan feeder on a pole at the end of my dock with a flap door (adapted dog feeder). Unfortunately the door freezes shut from the swans eating and dripping water in the feeder or from freezing rain, etc. Do you have any suggestions for keeping the door flap from sticking to the feeder? I go out once a day with a hammer and pound out the frozen food and free the flap. Do you think PAM cooking spray or something of that nature would work? Do you have any experience with a type of feeder that would work better in a freezing climate. I am getting older and it's getting more difficult for me to do this in bad weather.
Thank you!
