Swans lose their feathers (moult) twice a year. If this is moulting, you will notice it only lasts from a few days to a couple of weeks. Nothing should be done.
However, if feathers are only being lost in one area such as a small area of the head or neck, then the bird should be checked by a licensed veterinarian to ensure there are no parasites or stress. The Regal Swan
